Have fun and celebrate Easter with some great Bunny Outfits. Kids Bunny costumes and Adult Bunny Costumes.
Fertile Imagery of Bunny Outfits
When Easter comes rolling around, you will start seeing all colors, sizes and shapes of eggs and bunnies populating the stores, television shows and other popular spots. Indeed, Easter has taken on more secular values and meanings like its Christmas and St. Patrick Day counterparts. Still, secular or not, you cannot help but fall in love with everything related to Easter even the bunny outfits of the kids and the adults.
Fertile Origins of the Bunny in Easter
Now, you might be wondering how come the rabbit is closely associated with a Christian tradition as Easter instead of, say, the cross. Well, the answer lies in the ancient symbolisms attributed to animals like the rabbits and hares, mainly for their perceived qualities.
And lest you think that only Christian traditions have assigned rich symbolisms to the rabbit, take note that it is present in almost all religions from paganism to Buddhism and in many myths from the Chinese to the Egyptian. Such is the fertile origins of the rabbit, no pun intended.
However, in Christianity, the rabbit as a symbol of fertility, resurrection and new life has its origins in Egyptian folklore. Thus, when you see bunny outfits, you can thank the Egyptians for them, in a way.
Anyways, according to the ancient Egyptians, the rabbit or the hare was the sacred companion of the goddess of spring known as Eostre. And spring being the season for rebirth and fertility, it was but a natural crossover for later generations to ascribe to the rabbit said symbolism when the cult of Eostre was no more. (Plus, doesn't the name Eostre sound and look like Easter?)
In more modern times, the bunny was first used as an Easter symbol in Germany during the 16th century, if the German writings of that period are to be the basis. Instead of bunny outfits, however, there were edible easter bunnies made from pastry and sugar in the 1800s.
And just like getting presents on Christmas in their stockings, children expected to receive gifts of colored eggs as well as other sweet treats on their nests. This is with the assumption, again, that the children were nice the whole year-round.
Feed Your Fertile Imagination
Now, going back to the bunny costumes, you can feed your imagination with such outfits. Of course, what can you expect from an animal that is in itself one of the most fertile creatures on earth breeding at the rate of 13-14, sometimes 18, kittens per litter.
You can choose from bunny outfits for men and women as well as children. In fact, the entire family, even the pet dog, can go Easter egg-hunting as bunnies and it will be so adorable. Small children can be outfitted in bunny suits from head to foot complete with rabbits ears, cotton tails and padded feet. Daddy can go in his own version of the bunny suit albeit with more adult touches like a tie and eyeglasses.
Mommies and their young ladies can go in sexy bunny costumes with fur trimmings, rabbit headbands and cotton tails bobbing ever so slightly as they sway their hips. You can even use your black Playboy bunny outfit if you wish to shy away from sweet pink and go for the vavavoom effect instead.
Indeed, with bunny outfits, you are limited only by your imagination. The question is: Will you?

Hello,
Where did the idea of the Easter Bunny originate? Why are bunnies and chicks the symbols for Easter?
Really great post, enjoyed reading it. Thanks,
Dean
Cute and very nice costumes. This is an excellent idea for costume parties or any party which require a costume. The costume is perfect for my baby and I’m planning to buy it on Monday. I hope they still have this costume on Monday.
It still amazes me how many options there are if you want to wear a bunny costume. So many people still think that Bunny costumes are just for easter but they are a great choice for Halloween as well. The best thing about wearing a bunny costume around Halloween is that you know that you’ll stand out from everyone else.
All the best
James
